The environmental education campaign for the general public and workers of the Regional Park of the LIFE Salinas Project has ended with great participation.

The environmental education campaign for tourists, associations and workers of the LIFE Salinas Project concluded on the 20^th of May 2022. The final activity consisted of a guided tour in the Regional Park “Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar”, with participation from employees of the San Pedro del Pinatar Town Hall.

The aim of this campaign was to raise awareness regarding the environmental and socioeconomic importance of the Regional Park “Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar”, as well as the improvement of the social participation from the local community, the employees of the company Salinera Española S.A., employees and users of the port, environmental agents and tourists who visit the protected area every year.

During this campaign, a total of 86 activities were carried out with the participation of almost 1,000 people, including tourists, employees of Salinera Española S.A. and the Port of San Pedro del Pinatar as well as various local associations and institutions. The activities carried out consisted of talks, guided tours, bird ringing, outreach activities on the beach and the celebration of world days.
