The Conference on conservation actions in the Regional Park of “Las Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar” will take place on March the 17th. This conference aims to train attendees based on the experience of the actions and main results obtained within the framework of the LIFE SALINAS Project, such as the creation of 1.800 meters of new salt motes, the recovery of the sand dunes of “La Llana” beach and the actions to control invasive alien species throughout the Regional Park’s dune system.
In addition, the management of LIFE INVASAQUA will present their obtained results as well as provide management tools developed to solve the problem of invasive species in aquatic environments, providing an approximation to the current situation found in the salt ponds of San Pedro and the Mar Menor.
The conference is intended to be practical, therefore each presentation will last about 15 minutes in order to encourage debate. Exceptionally, the LIFE INVASAQUA Project’s presentation will last 30 minutes with a subsequent debate. A field tripto learn about the actionswill also take place in situ.
The Conference will be aimed towards the Environmental Agents of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Environmental Agents of the Demarcation of Coasts of Murcia, SEPRONA, Local Police from the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council, as well as technicians from various administrations related to the management and conservation of the Regional Park “Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar”.
