Participation in the Audouin Seagull Working Group

On February 20, Ángel Sallent of the Association of Naturalists of the Southeast and Gustavo A. Ballesteros, coordinator of the LIFE Salinas Project and representing the University of Murcia, attended the meeting of the Working Group of the Seagull of Audouin, organized by the General Sub-Directorate for the Protection of the Sea of the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico in collaboration with the Consejería de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Desarrollo Sostenible of the Junta de Andalucía.
The purpose of this meeting is to share and update information on the status of the Audouin gull colonies (Larus audouinii) in Spain and Portugal, habitat distribution and use patterns, threats on land and at sea and pool the possible conservation, monitoring and management actions to be carried out by the different administrations involved.
