In recent weeks, two bird ringing activities have been carried out as part of the Environmental Volunteering Program, coordinated by ANSE, within the framework of the LIFE Salinas Project. In the first activity, carried out jointly with the Wildlife Unit of the Directorate General of the Natural Environment, the ringing of the Audoin’s gull (Ichthyaetus audouinii) was carried out, consisting of individuals belonging to the breeding colony present in the Regional Park of the Salinas y Arenas de San Pedro del Pinatar.
In the second activity, a total of 138 Sandwich tern (Thalasseus sandvicens) chicks were ringed, which are also part of the breeding colony located in the Regional Park.
