On 28 April 2021, we received a visit from Daniel Caballero Quirantes (3rd person from the left side of the photograph), Head of Coastal Demarcation in Murcia from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, accompanied by two technicians, on the La Llana beach.

During his visit, a tour was given to observe the actions that are being carried out on the La Llana beach and within the framework of the LIFE Salinas Project. Throughout the day, the recovery of the dunes was verified thanks to the protection provided by the deposit of Posidonia oceanica banquettes, placed on the dune front, and the fencing, which prevents pedestrian access. It was also observed how this experience could be a model to be adopted on other beaches in the Region of Murcia. Afterwards, a tour of the interior of the salt ponds was taken, detailing the operations towards creating new salt ponds, control of invasive exotic species and the success in the reproduction of aquatic birds.
